Carrie Williams and Kira Zuber Elected to Goodell DeVries Partnership

Goodell DeVries is pleased to announce that Carrie J. Williams and Kira E. Zuber have been elected partners of the law firm Goodell DeVries, effective January 1, 2024.

Williams-Carrie-Blog-HeadshotCarrie joined the firm in 2023 as a member of the Appellate Practice Group, bringing with her 16 years of appellate experience. Before entering private practice, Carrie was with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, where she served as Principal Counsel for Criminal Policy and, before that, Division Chief of the Criminal Appeals Division. As a partner at Goodell DeVries, she represents clients across the firm's many practice groups in pre-trial and appellate matters.

Carrie is a member of the Appellate Courts Judicial Nominating Commission, Co-chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Committee, and Chair of the Programming Committee of the Cole-Davidson Appellate Inn of Court.

Zuber-Kira-Blog-HeadshotKira joined the firm in 2019 as a member of its Medical Malpractice Practice Group. Kira practices in Maryland and the District of Columbia, where she represents healthcare providers, healthcare institutions, and insurance companies in all phases of medical malpractice claims. Before joining Goodell DeVries, Kira worked as a civil litigation attorney at Sasscer, Clagett & Bucher where she defended a variety of insurance defense claims, including medical malpractice.

Kira has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America – Ones to Watch for Medical Malpractice Law. She is a member of the Maryland-D.C. Society for Healthcare Risk Management (MD-DC SHRM), the D.C. Defense Lawyers Association (DCDLA), the Bar Association of Baltimore City, and the Maryland State Bar Association.
