Three Goodell DeVries Partners Named to MSBA Board of Governors

Three Goodell DeVries partners have been named to the Maryland State Bar Association Board of Governors.

Jim Astrachan and James Phelan Robinson will serve on the Board for the First District, Baltimore City. Kaitlin Corey will serve on the Board as Section Representative for the Intellectual Property Section.

Jim Astrachan - Intellectual Property and Business LawyerJim represents clients in intellectual property law and litigation, mediation, and business, regulatory, and transactional matters. He is a frequent author and speaker and has taught IP at Maryland's two law schools for more than two decades. Jim is the founding and former Chair of the Intellectual Property Committee and a former Maryland Bar Journal editorial board member. He is a Life Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation.

Kaitlin Corey - Intellectual Property and Business LawyerKaitlin Corey assists companies of all sizes with general corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property protection and management. Kaitlin regularly advises on brand protection strategies by reviewing marketing creative for legal compliance, clearing trademarks for use and registration, and licensing of trademarks and copyrights. She is a past Chair of the MSBA's Intellectual Property Section and Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Section Education Committee.

James Robinson - Medical Malpractice and Appellate LawyerJames Phelan Robinson is a member of the firm's Medical Malpractice and Appellate practice groups. He defends healthcare providers and healthcare institutions, including nursing homes, hospitals, and insurance companies, in all phases of medical malpractice claims, from commencement to completion. He previously served as the MSBA Young Lawyers Section's 5th Circuit Liason.
