Richard M. Barnes, Linda S. Woolf, and Matthew D. Kohel obtained a permanent injunction enforcing a covenant not-to-compete and successfully defended against a counterclaim for patent royalties in a large commercial arbitration in which the Goodell DeVries team represented an international manufacturer of dental products. After being granted a preliminary injunction against our client’s former consultant that prevented him from violating his contractual loyalty obligations, our client was awarded a permanent injunction after a week-long hearing. In addition, the award denied the consultant’s counterclaim for royalties for a proprietary manufacturing process used to make endodontic instruments.
