Goodell DeVries Receives Award from Maryland Legal Aid Bureau

Goodell DeVries received a Pacesetter Award from The Equal Justice Council of Maryland Legal Aid in recognition of the firm's outstanding contributions.  The award was presented on June 18th at its 16th Annual Recognition Breakfast and was received by partner Thomas J. S. Waxter, III.  Managing Partner, Linda S. Woolf, serves as a member of the Equal Justice Council.

The Equal Justice Council (EJC), formed in 1997 by Maryland private bar attorneys, is the fundraising arm of Maryland Legal Aid. Its goal is to promote equal access to justice by increasing and diversifying Legal Aid’s resources and serving as advocates and ambassadors in educating the public about Legal Aid’s programs.  The Legal Aid Bureau is a private, nonprofit, multi-funded law firm providing free legal services to low-income people statewide.  Legal Aid serves Baltimore City and Maryland's 23 counties from 13 office locations.
