Kelly Hughes Iverson of Goodell DeVries, one of our senior litigation partners, has been selected as a winner of The Daily Record’s 2016 Leadership in Law Award.

The Daily Record's Leadership in Law award was established in 2001 to honor the many Maryland legal professionals, lawyers and judges, whose professional achievement, community service and mentoring deserve special recognition. Ms. Iverson practice is devoted to the defense of claims for professional malpractice and product liability. She also chairs the MSBA’s Maryland Civil Pattern Jury Instructions committee and has held leadership positions in legal associations such as the Bar Association of Baltimore City, the Baltimore Bar Foundation, and the Barristers Law Club.

The Daily Record receiveds nominations, which are solicited from its readers, bar associations, chambers of commerce and the legal community at large. Nominees are then asked to complete an application that explains their innovation and the impact it has made on Maryland. This year, a distinguished panel of judges reviewed the applications and selected 38 winners for 2016, who will be honored on May 5, 2016 at a reception and dinner at The Westin Annapolis in conjunction with Law Day.
