Kelly Hughes Iverson Named a Personal Injury & Medical Malpractice Power Player for 2024

Kelly is a partner with Goodell DeVries and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. A member of the firm’s Medical Malpractice Litigation team, she defends numerous community hospitals, academic medical centers, and individual healthcare practitioners in a wide array of medical and nursing specialties in professional malpractice claims. She has also represented manufacturers in claims alleging injury from defective products and environmental clients in claims alleging toxic exposure to lead and mold.

Kelly has a longstanding record of service to the legal profession. She currently chairs the Maryland Pattern Jury Instructions - Civil Subcommittee for the Maryland State Bar Association and co-chairs the MSBA Committee on Laws. She is a past president of the Bar Association of Baltimore City and the Baltimore Bar Foundation, Inc., and she served on the MSBA Board of Governors and as a Commissioner and MSBA Board Representative on the Maryland Access to Justice Commission. She has also chaired the Judicial Selections Committee for the Bar Association of Baltimore City.

In addition to her election as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Kelly has been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates and invited to join the Litigation Counsel of America. She has been honored in multiple years by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, and Super Lawyers, who counted her among the Top 100 Super Lawyers and Top 50 Women Super Lawyers.
