Goodell DeVries is pleased to welcome Pamela J. Diedrich and Benjamin S. Harvey to the firm. The two have joined our Medical Malpractice Practice Group.

Pam is a partner with the firm. She represents healthcare providers and organizations in complex medical malpractice litigation, credentialing matters, and privacy breach issues. With more than 25 years of experience, Pam has built a distinguished practice focused on catastrophic injury litigation. Her work spans medical malpractice, personal injury, toxic tort, premises liability, and product liability matters. She has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts, class actions, and mass tort proceedings, as well as before licensing boards and administrative tribunals. Her breadth of experience allows her to provide strategic, practical counsel across all phases of litigation.

Prior to joining Goodell DeVries, Pam served as a director at a Washington, D.C.-based law firm and was a key member of its health law practice. In that role, she advised healthcare clients on complex litigation, regulatory compliance, and risk management matters, further solidifying her reputation as a trusted advocate and counselor to healthcare organizations and professionals.

Ben is Counsel at the firm. He represents healthcare organizations and providers, including doctors, hospitals, surgical centers, and skilled nursing facilities, in high-exposure medical malpractice and wrongful death lawsuits. He defends clients against allegations of negligence involving labor and delivery, emergency medicine, surgical procedures, long-term care, diagnosis, informed consent, and pharmacy services. He has extensive experience in complex civil litigation. He has also assisted medical providers in responding to investigations by the Board of Physicians.

Prior to joining Goodell DeVries, Ben was a civil litigation attorney at several well-regarded private law firms, where he concentrated his practice on defending medical malpractice, professional liability, products liability, and general liability claims. Ben also served as a Deputy Director of Baltimore City Circuit Court’s Civil Alternative Dispute Resolution Program. In addition to assisting in administration of the program, he served as a neutral mediator on a wide variety of civil matters before they were set for trial.
