Marianne is Chair of Goodell DeVries’s Medical Malpractice Practice Group. She represents individual and institutional healthcare providers and is sought after nationally to advise them on high-risk matters, often involving obstetrical-malpractice allegations.
She has been recognized for her medical malpractice defense work by Benchmark Litigation, Chambers, Best Lawyers in America, and Super Lawyers.
Marianne has held many leadership roles in both legal and healthcare professional organizations. She was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in 2018 and now serves as President of ABOTA's Maryland Chapter. She is also active in the Mid-Atlantic Society for Healthcare Risk Management (MASHRM) and previously served as MASHRM’s Secretary, Co-chair of the Legislative Committee, Co-chair of the Bylaws Committee, and Director-at-Large. She served on the Maryland State Bar Association’s Committee on Law Reform and is a former President of the Wednesday Law Club.
Active in the community, Marianne is a member of the Living Legacy Foundation’s Ethics Committee and the Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle. She previously served as a mentor with the Baltimore Girls’ School Leadership Coalition.
