Ms. MacDonald is Of Counsel to the firm. Her practice is concentrated on the representation of professionals in malpractice claims, including individual health care providers, hospitals, long term care facilities, academic medical centers, mental health providers and dentists. Ms. MacDonald is responsible for all phases of case management and preparation, and she regularly appears before the Maryland Health Care Alternative Dispute Resolution Office, the Circuit Courts of Maryland, the United States District Court of Maryland and the Superior Court of Washington, DC. Ms. MacDonald is also responsible for all phases of appellate practice, including brief preparation and oral argument. She has argued before Maryland’s intermediate appellate court, the Court of Special Appeals, and Maryland’s highest appellate court, the Court of Appeals. As part of her practice, Ms. MacDonald is also frequently called upon to provide representation to individual health care providers before the various medical licensing boards of the State of Maryland. She has appeared before the Maryland Board of Physicians Quality Assurance, the Maryland Nursing Board, the Maryland Board of Social Worker Examiners, and the Maryland Board of Psychologists.
Before joining Goodell, DeVries, Leech & Dann, LLP, Ms. MacDonald was Of Counsel to the law firm of Eccleston & Wolf, P.C. There, her practice concentrated on the defense of medical and legal professionals in malpractice claims and before the various licensing boards. After completing law school, Ms. MacDonald had the privilege of working as a judicial clerk for the Honorable William W. Wenner, Associate Judge, Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.
