Ms. Kaifer is an associate with the firm. Her current practice concentrates primarily in the areas of products liability and general liability defense. During law school, she interned with Piper & Marbury, LLP, and also clerked at the Public Defender's Office. Since 2001, she has been actively involved with Maryland's mass tort asbestos litigation.
Ms. Kaifer handles cases primarily before the Circuit Courts of Maryland and has been involved with cases in the Maryland appellate courts. She is responsible for all aspects of case management, including the development of case strategy, selection and development of medical expert witnesses, taking fact witness and plaintiff depositions, and preparation of discovery and motions.
She is also active in Maryland's asbestos defense medical fund, routinely meeting with defense medical lead counsel to develop medical defense strategies for all defendants.
