Ms. McGuigan is Of Counsel to the firm. Her practice is concentrated on the representation of hospitals, individual health care providers, health maintenance organizations, and academic medical centers in professional malpractice claims before the Health Claims Arbitration Office of Maryland, the Circuit Courts of Maryland, the United States District Court of Maryland and the Courts of Appeal of Maryland. She is admitted in Maryland and North Carolina.
Before joining Goodell, DeVries, Leech & Dann, LLP, Ms. McGuigan was an associate in a large, multi-practice firm in Greenville, North Carolina where her practice was concentrated in the areas of business, commercial, medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. Ms. McGuigan also worked as staff counsel for Travelers Property Casualty Company for several years, defending commercial liability insureds in the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ms. McGuigan worked in Washington, DC for a lobbying firm established by a former United States Senator. In that position, Ms. McGuigan monitored pending fiscal legislation and assisted in the political representation of the firm's corporate clients.
