Brian M. Lands
Mr. Lands is an associate in the firm's Philadelphia office, where he concentrates his practice on product liability and other complex litigation in both state and federal courts. He has significant experience defending corporate clients in pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, including MDL and coordinated state court proceedings.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Lands has played a critical role in defending Pfizer Inc from lawsuits surrounding alleged side effects of an OTC pain management medication. He has been instrumental in carrying out defensive strategies and preparing company and expert witnesses. In addition, Mr. Lands has been actively involved in defending a generic manufacturer of acetaminophen, as well as other brand name and generic pharmaceutical companies that market prescription and OTC products.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Lands served as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Carol E. Higbee, J.A.D., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. Mr. Lands is a graduate of Rutgers University - Camden School of Law (2014), and earned his BA from the University of Maryland - College Park (2011).
While in law school, Mr. Lands participated in an externship program in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, with the Honorable Robert B. Kugler, District Judge. He also worked as a summer associate and law clerk for an insurance defense firm, practicing in the areas of premises liability, commercial auto liability, and dram shop liability.
